Installing Matte PPF
Paint protection film or PPF can come in clear gloss, translucent matte, or colored styles. This durable film can be unnoticeable or change the look of your vehicle depending on what option you choose. On this offroad 2025 Land Cruiser build we installed a matte PPF to create a rough and ready appearance.
Having paint protection film will prevent damage to a vehicles paint job by blocking rocks, mud, and branches that knock against it. PPF is a very valuable accessory to keep your vehicles exterior in top condition which can extend its lifespan and value over time. We recommend PPF for all vehicles, but especially offroad ones.
Attaching A Lift Kit
Lift kits are often used for two main reasons. First to increase the ground clearance of a vehicle allowing it to over come large obstacles on the road or trails. Second is to provide more space for a larger wheel and tire setup.
We installed a 3.5-inch lift from Rough Country to give this custom Land Cruiser a boost. Keeping the lift smaller can help maintain the original ride quality the manufacturer intended. After installing this lift kit we had more room to fit larger offroad tires, but ended up having to trim to avoid rubbing.
New Wheel & Tire Set-up
Since the 2025 Land Cruiser’s design is heritage inspired we wanted to choose a rim with a similar style. We ended up selecting 705 Bead Grip wheel from Method Racing which features a bold split 5-spoke, 10 windowed design. The 705’s were developed to withstand even the toughest of terrain. They’re classic look and matte black finish fit this builds personality well.
Traction is the name of the game and to handle that you need quality tires. This matte black Land Cruiser build is sporting 35-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires which provide a nice rugged look with all season capability. They offer the best of both worlds with sidewall ridges that can help propel your ride out of muddy trails and more than efficient traction for daily drives.
Custom Leather Upholstery
Not a fan of the Land Cruisers interior upholstery? No problem. We swapped this builds seating with a smooth black leather that has specialty diamond stitching. Creating the black on black styling improves the cohesion of this entire build while improving the interior. Custom leather seating is one of the top aftermarket accessories to refresh your ride. Often times it’s much cheaper than paying for a higher trim level just to get leather seats. Plus when you get custom leather seats installed you can also add heated seats for a decent price.
Window Tint
Since this build has a stealthy blackout style we applied a window tint film to wrap things up. Window tint provides more than just a great look. It also gives you protection from harmful UV Rays and adds privacy.
If you’re thinking of getting your ride tinted just be sure to check your states local laws. In Missouri as of the time of this article 35% tint is allowed for the front driver and passenger windows. Although if you have a medical exemption you could go even darker. Many vehicles have darker tint in the rear windows so they don’t always require tinting to match.
We advise having a professional shop who warranties their work install your window tint. This will prevent bubbling, peeling, and discoloration over time.
