Blackout Emblems and Nameplates
Right off the bat, those brass and chrome Chevrolet emblems had to go.
Chevy’s iconic bowtie on the grille was replaced with a complete blackout version sourced directly from GM. Installing blackout emblems is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to change the appearance of your vehicle.
For the rear, the chrome Chevy emblem on the tailgate was swapped without replacing the rear hatch valance.
We also swapped out the Tahoe nameplates and any trim badging with fully black versions. Small chrome accents like these may seem minor, but removing them is essential for achieving the full chrome delete look.
Chrome Delete Trim Upgrades
For this build, we avoided temporary chrome delete solutions and instead used premium replacement parts from our Tahoe blackout kit.
The Chevy Tahoe High Country blackout grille we installed makes one of the biggest visual impacts on the vehicle. While the black roof rails ensure head to toe coverage with the new trim.
In addition we installed black front bumper trim and matching rear bumper trim.
Speaking of trim, the window trim got the next dose of chrome delete treatment. Blackout window molding provides cleaner finish that’s refined and subtle compared to chrome. Using a full replacement part provide longer-lasting durability than something like a vinyl wrap.
To complete the trim blackout, we also upgraded Door handles and Tinted side markers.
Together, these black trim upgrades completely transform the Tahoe’s overall attitude and styling.
Gloss Black Roof and Pillar Wrap
To elevate the blackout styling even further, we added a gloss black roof wrap and matching pillar vinyl wrap to this 2026 Chevy Tahoe.
Wrapping the roof in gloss black creates a sleek two-tone appearance that adds more contrast against the bright Victory Red paint. This modification visually lowers the vehicle while giving it a more premium, sport-inspired look.
The black vinyl roof wrap creates a more aggressive look that also pairs well with the black roof rails and window trim.
Custom Vossen Rims
After installing all the blackout trim, the factory chrome wheels were not the vibe.
To complete the build, the client selected gloss black Vossen HFX-6 wheels, featuring a sharp and strong forged design that complements the Tahoe’s assertive styling.
If aftermarket wheels aren’t in your budget, powder coating your factory wheels is another great option. A durable powder coat finish allows you to customize wheel color while improving long-term protection against wear and corrosion.
Powder coating can also be applied to metal accessories like:

Red Painted Calipers
Behind the new Vossen wheels, you’ll notice another subtle custom touch, painted brake calipers.
This upgrade adds a bold pop of color while tying into the vehicle’s red exterior accents. Painted calipers also help protect against corrosion while adding a more performance-inspired appearance.

Offroad Tire Upgrade
To pair with the new wheels, we installed BF Goodrich all terrain tires for improved styling and off-road capability.

Window Tint Film
To finish off the blackout package, we added window tint film to the front windows to match the factory rear tint.
