The 2026 GMC Yukon AT4 is an elevated full-size offroad SUV that packs a punch! This client built a custom Yukon AT4 that stands out with unique styling all to itself. It proves that our chrome delete package looks just as good on the AT4 as it does on the Denali.

Installing The Chrome Delete Trim
For 2026 the GMC Yukon maintains last model years exterior, but there are a few differences between the Denali and AT4 trims. To see the differences between this 2026 Yukon and the previous body styling check out this lifted 2024 GMC Yukon Chrome Delete build. As you read on you’ll see before and after we installed these chrome delete parts for the 2026 GMC Yukon.

Going from front to back we stripped away old chrome features part by part. One of the biggest changes is a custom 2026 Yukon blackout grille. This grille is fully black unlike tinted Vader Chrome grilles found on the higher Denali trim levels. This blackout Yukon grille has a shadowy and subtle look that makes the front end blend together.

A major difference between the AT4 and Denali is the front bumper shape. The AT4 doesn’t have the same fog bezel molding. Instead it boasts a large black bumper with fog bezels built in. However, it still requires front bumper trim to delete some of the chrome off the front end.
Moving from the front to the sides you’ll find small accent parts that got the chrome delete treatment. Included in those is a set of smoked side markers by the front wheels. Normally side markers are bright orange, but by applying a light tinted clear coat they can be dulled to fit the blackout styling.

Don’t worry! They still shine orange light through for night time driving. It’s important to note that a tinted clear coat prevents any chance of peeling over time unlike a tinted film. This provides more durability which lasts the life of the vehicle, same as our other hand painted blackout parts.
On the AT4 the window trim is already black along with the roof rails. In addition the design of the door handles doesn’t have chrome accents, and the lower bodyside molding is absent. On the Yukon Denali blackout kit all these parts are given a chrome delete.
At the trunk the last bit of chrome to be eliminated is on the rear bumper trim and exhaust tips. Exhaust tips are completely optional of course, but the added touch makes the blackout feel more complete and professional. Durable black powder coat finish keeps them protected from rust and scrapes as well.

Blackout Emblems and Badges
Along with the striking front end and assertive blackout styling you’ll find a black version of the AT4’s distinct badging. Black GMC emblems and badging add to the changes we made to the trim. When you customize the factory emblems it makes the car feel like more of your own rather than the manufacturers. New blackout emblems are found on the fender vent accents and the Yukon nameplate on the tailgate. There are also custom black AT4 badges on the grille, side doors, and tailgate as well.

Custom Vossen Rims
After installing all the black accents pieces we were left with heavy chrome wheels. To better fit the upscale attitude of the Yukon AT4 the client selected a gloss black Vossen HF6-4 wheel design with similar forked spokes.

If custom wheels are outside what you’d like to spend there’s another option for your blackout! Applying a powder coat finish to your current wheel design allows you to customize their color while reinforcing their durability. This coating can also be used on metal parts like tow-hooks or exhaust tips to further personalize your vehicle!
Red Painted Calipers
Behind those new Vossen rims you’ll spot another custom detail. Our client chose to add a pop of color with red painted brake calipers. This modification matches the other red accents like the tow hooks. It also helps to prevent corrosion while adding some personal style points. You can customize the calipers on your ride by choosing from a wide variety of colors.
35-Inch Offroad Tires
With the new wheels we had to find new offroad tires. Nitto Recon Grappler Tires 33×12.50R22LT are what we chose to give this custom Yukon the right blend of on and offroad performance.
Window Tint
Our last accessory addition was tried and true window tint. Tinted windows are one of the best accesories for any vehicle, but on chrome delete builds they drive home that mysterious alluring aesthetic and blend in with the blackout window molding. Tint provides benefits like privacy, UV light rejection, and heat rejection.

It’s important to know that not all tint is made equal! We use 3M tint because of their benefits over competing brands. We wrote a whole article about the benefits of 3M tint to help you learn more before making your decision.
Tints are offered from 5% to 70% with the lower numbers being darker. Most folks opt for around a 30% tint. The % measures VLT (Visual Light Transference) which quantifies how much light comes through the film. When you go to select your tint, you need to keep in mind your local laws, so that you don’t get ticketed.
We always recommend a professional install for this modification. Poor tint jobs will bubble and discolor over time. Make sure your window tint installer has a good warranty to protect your investment!
