With a mild redesign the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe is out to make a name for itself. To improve this formidable family mover we updated the exterior even more by installing chrome delete trim. Minus the mirror caps which this client chose to install themselves.
Blackout Emblems and Nameplates
Right away we got to work adding a touch of darkness to the iconic brass colored Chevrolet emblems. Instead we hooked up a different version which is a complete blackout chevy bowtie emblem. Changing up the emblems of your ride is a quick and cost effective way to change the look of it.
In addition blackout Tahoe nameplates further the sleek blackout styling. The black on black gives an almost embossed look that blends into the body of the vehicle.
Parts Of The Chrome Delete
Despite the many ways to perform a chrome delete replacement parts offer the best results. They deliver more durability for years to come without chipping or peeling. It’s amazing how big of a difference installing a blackout High Country grille can change the entire appearance of this Chevy Tahoe.
Even eliminating the small strip of chrome on the front bumper helps clean up the design of the front fascia. The new blackout appearance feels more stern and solid compared to the false bits of chrome.
There’s one area of chrome that we are particularly thrilled to get rid of, the window molding. Installing blackout window molding is an absolute must for this build given it looks like a disconnected chrome hockey stick. The needless chrome accents on the door handles are also wiped out. Using a replacement parts here are very helpful since a paint or wrap wont last in these delicate areas.
Of course with full blackouts you can’t forget parts like the roof rails, running board trim, and side markers either. Giving the chrome delete treat to every part possible strengthens the look of this blackout Chevy Tahoe bit by bit.
The last bit of black trim for this custom Chevy Tahoe was added to the rear bumper. A small detail that accents the top edge of the rear bumper. Just beneath the rear bumper you can also see that we powder coated the exhaust tips gloss black to erase as much chrome as we could.
Overall the chrome delete creates clean cohesive look. With the matching blackout emblems the build has a very low profile appearance. Window Tint Film
To finish out this Chevy Tahoe blackout we applied one last accessory, window tint. It may just be the easiest and most important accessory for every vehicle, but especially blackout builds. Window tint films reject infrared and UV rays to block heat and sun glare. It protects you, your cargo, and your interior. Window tint is even recommended by the skin cancer foundation!
When you go to select your tint, you need to keep in mind your local laws so that you don’t get ticketed. We always recommend a professional install for this modification. Poor tint jobs will bubble and discolor over time. Make sure your window tint installer has a good warranty to protect your investment!
