The 2022 Infiniti QX50 has a muscular front end and flowing body. It’s built with the idea of enhancing control while on the road. If you’re tired of the factory standard chrome on your emblems, handles, trim, etc… you can control that too. We broke the factory mold on this 2022 Infiniti QX50 by performing a chrome delete. Which is covering all the chrome features with gloss black paint in this case. We knew that these black accent pieces would command more attention when paired with its white body paint.

Chrome Delete

Most cars have a ton of chrome accents and the QX50 is no exception, so we had plenty of work to do. On the front end of the car we went over the grille and fender vents with gloss black paint. To make that grill stand out we actually painted the trim around it white to match the body. This gives the QX50 a more pronounced look than it had with its previous generic chrome. These changes draw eyes in with the balance of black and white creating a strong contrast between the grille and body.

Sometimes parts such as window trim can be difficult to remove and paint. With our expertise here at VIP this doesn’t slow us down. When possible, we ensure that every chrome piece (including the trim) is painted. You can see that we hit each side of the window trim with an even coat of that gloss black paint. You can’t forget the roof rails either which will hold up even when you decide you want to strap some cargo to the top.

Towards the back end, the exhaust pipes are hit with the same touch ups to get rid of every last inch of chrome. The final product leaves a sleek, long lasting, and impactful visual. This refined Infiniti QX50 gives off a different look than your typical QX50. Now it starts to turn some heads!

Blackout & Smoked Emblems

The emblem or badge is often a focal point for cars. Which makes it highly important to complement it with your car’s accent paint and body paint. Taking the extra time to blackout the back end emblem, and the lettering helped us tie the car together. If we had left the original chrome emblems they wouldn’t stand out as well as these new gloss black and smoked emblems.

The way we got the look we wanted involved smoking the Infiniti emblem on the front end of this QX50. We did this using a tinted clear coat. What’s nice about this method is it gives the Infiniti emblem a distinct dark look. It does that without having to replace it, or interfering with the sensors most cars have behind their emblems!

Powder Coated Wheels

On the bottom side of this QX50, the wheels get a nice clean powder coat. Powder coat finishes have impressive durability! It will stick with your vehicle for the long and bumpy road ahead while still maintaining its color. The new look of rich black gloss improves the existing factory wheels enhancing this vehicle’s stance.

One of the super cool benefits of using a powder coating is customizability! There are near endless possibilities for selecting the right color and finish for your vehicle. If you’re looking to color match your car’s factory paint, or if you’re looking for something new. Consider a powder coat, It’s a cost friendly way to customize your ride!

Painted Brake Calipers

With all forms of factory chrome now eradicated. We decided to add a coat of gloss black brake caliper paint to complete the look. If you’re looking for a small way to give your ride some extra personalization, then look no further! Painted calipers are a great cost effective solution.

Calipers take a lot of abuse from heat, dirt, and debris which make it important to use a high quality paint. Many cheap rattle cans won’t last leading to repeated work and often times a patchy look. Here at VIP we use a heat resistant, high quality paint blend that is guaranteed to last for years. For the absolute best results you could apply a layer of ceramic coating. Ceramic coating can help protect the paint and make cleaning extremely easy!
