The Yukon Denali has a powerful look and feel to its proportions when it leaves the factory. It features a bold grille and expansive interior that help it standout from other SUV’s of its class. These design choices are all centered around premium comfort, appearance, and capability.
For this 2022 Yukon Denali we broke the factory mold with loads of customization through our total blackout package. Then we topped it off with a black GMC light-up emblem to command more attention on the road. This whole SUV has been converted into a black mass with the only brightness coming from its safety lights and illuminated emblem.

Satin Blackout Wrap
The entirety of the Yukon Denali’s body received a color change vehicle wrap with high quality vinyl. What that means is the vinyl wrap completely blocks out all other color from the original paint job. Wrapping a vehicle this way is a quick and cost-effective method to change the color and finish of a vehicle. Our skilled team of technicians wrapped even the door jams with precision. The dark satin finish of this wrap accentuates the body of this vehicle and lets the gloss black accents shine.
Chrome Delete
One of the biggest points of interest on this massive blacked out Yukon Denali is the grille. The grille contained a ton of chrome and felt a bit too overbearing, so we opted for a streamlined alternative. After removing the grille and trim around it the pieces were blacked out with gloss black paint. This new grille has an ink like honeycomb look embolden by a new strong black trim. This set of modifications gives this Yukon Denali an even more sophisticated look and feel.
Other front end work included painting the front bumper trim, fog light bezel, and mirror accents. It’s crucial to get rid of even the smallest bits of chrome to achieve a full blackout.
Some of the final touches on the front were painting the fender vent accents and smoking the orange side markers. With those final touches the front end chrome fittings and colors were completely killed off.
The middle of this blackout Yukon Denali required a bit of a climb to continue our chrome killing frenzy. The roof rails needed to be pulled off from the top of the car and painted. Followed by the fine edges of the window trim. Working with fine trim can be difficult, but the skilled technicians at VIP Auto Accessories take care of it with ease. Below the windows are the next few specks of chrome waiting to be wiped out. The chrome on the door handles and lower body molds of the door were darkened to a gloss black.
With the middle cleared of chrome all that’s left is the back end. On the Yukon Denali that means painting the exhaust tips, rear bumper trim, and rear hatch valence. Each of which get that gloss black touch up to create this blacked out beast of comfort and capability.
Light-Up Emblem
The soft white glow behind the black GMC emblem is the point where a lot of eyes gravitate towards on this build. Any lighted emblem is going to stand out and shine, but on this blackout build it is one of the only sources of light.
Blackout Lettering
Aside from the main emblem there were a few other spots on this Yukon Denali with chrome lettering that had to go. This now black rear emblem and lettering sticks out from the dark satin wrap giving it an embossed look.
Powder Coated Wheels
Having all the body chrome accents deleted left the wheels feeling out of place. This large mass of darkness needed something better to stand on. Of course, we went ahead and applied a powder coat finish to the wheels.
Powder coat finishes are beneficial for two main reasons. The first of which is their flexibility when it comes to design. Powder coats provide the ability to customize the colors of your wheel. Which in turn allows you to select the perfect option to best fit your ride’s color scheme. Their second benefit is their durability over time. Wheels take a lot of damage from debris and gravel along the road. Powder coat finishes provide safety and longevity for your ride’s wheels.
Painted Calipers
Only one thing on this build was painted a color other than black. The wheel calipers on this Yukon Denali ended up getting a coat of bright and glossy red paint. This red POPS even beneath the black powder coated wheels! A small bit of red leads into highlighting the performance aspects of this Vehicle.
When painting calipers it is highly important to use a durable and heat resistant paint. To further protect your caliper and its paint from the wear and tear of the road we suggest using a ceramic coating. Ceramic coatings are very durable and make cleaning super easy. When you coat your wheels and calipers then it makes thing like removing built up brake dust a much quicker process.
