Lift Kit
This 1.5 inch lift kit from LP Aventure leads the market with its safety and quality standards. It is designed to maintain the vehicle’s original alignment specs and do not interfere with its electronic stability control sensors. This keeps your vehicle FMVSS126 compliant, just as Subaru intended.
To earn this compliance, vehicles must go through a series of evasive lane-change maneuvers at highway speeds. This ensures the driver can maintain control in critical driving situations. You may have heard this referred to as the “moose test” before. The Toyota Hilux famously failed it for many years.
Wheel Package
We chose the 15-Inch MR502 Rally wheel from Method for this build. It helped win the Rally America Championship in 2014, and it’s a great look on the Crosstrek in matte black. Reusing factory center caps really makes the start cluster pop, and makes it look like it rolled out of the factory on these.
We wrapped them in P215/75R15 Toyo Open Country A/T III tires. This is an all-new tire from Toyo features a new tread design focused on wet performance, durability and treadwear life.
Bumper Guard
One of the reasons we love LP Aventure is because they offer Subaru upgrades you can’t find anywhere else. Most noticeable is the bumper guards. The LP Aventure Big Bumper Guard provides robust protection and unique styling to the front of the Crosstrek. It’s made from 1″ DOM (drawn over mandrel) steel that is super strong and powder coated in black.
We really like how the guard wraps over the fog lights for an aggressive look and full protection. Attached to the bottom of the guard is the optional front plate. It shields the underside of the bumper while hiding the bottom of the pre-drilled light mounts.
For our lights we used the 4-Inch LED Round Lights from Rough Country. They provide that classic round look, but with the power and efficiency of LED. Four of these are capable of producing 8640 lumen en masse.
Rock Slider
The matching LP Aventure Rock Sliders continue that impressive look down the side of the vehicle. Made from the same materials as the bumper guard, they provide rugged protection and unique styling to the Crosstrek. They can even be installed on a Crosstrek that isn’t lifted.
Both the rock slides and the bumper guard are offered in a bare finish if you’re interested in an even more custom look.
Potential Additions
A matte or satin black roof wrap and matching black mirror caps could really add to the aggressive off road styling this Crosstrek already has.
