The Best 2020 F150 Accessories Under $500

Trucks usually have the most options for restyling, and with a near-endless list of accessories, the Ford F-150 is no exception.

You got your new F150, but now what? Depending on which model you bought you may have some extra cash leftover to spice it up. We’ve compiled the best accessories for a Ford F-Series truck that all cost less than $500.

With so much available it is hard to know where to begin, but any one of these upgrades would be a great starting point for your new truck.

Window Tint $80-$375

Your new Ford F150 from the dealership is usually lacking uniform tint coverage. Automakers do this since they don’t know where the vehicle will be sold, so they abide by the strictest state laws.

You can get window tint applied to just the front driver and passenger window to create a uniform tint around the vehicle.

You can also choose to have all the windows tinted to an even darker VLT (visual light transference) level, just make sure you know the laws in your area. Visit ourΒ window tintΒ page for examples of each level.

LED Headlights $50-$250

Lower-end trim levels aren’t going to have LED lighting. Upgrading your headlamps to LED is a quick and affordable upgrade for your new F150. It’s something most owners can do themselves and they last much longer than halogen bulbs.

We’re fans of theΒ Super Bright Conversion KitΒ . These LED arrays are designed to mimic the filament in halogen bulbsβ€”creating a closely matched beam style.

Floor Liners $125-$300

There’s a reason you got a truck, and it wasn’t to attend tea parties. You you know going to make a mess from time to time so you need to protect your investment.

Besides making cleanup much easier, the big draw of floor liners is the increased resale value they bring to your F150. When it’s time to retire your truck you can hand it off to the next guy with a clean interior (and charge more $$$ of course).

Our favorite liners are the American-madeΒ WeatherTech FloorlinersΒ . They are laser-measured for accurate molding and are a breeze to remove and clean.

Running Boards $300-$500

A truck without boards is like a suit without a tie. If your F150 didn’t come with them, you definitely need to get some. Not only do they make it easier for you and your passengers to get in the truck, but they are your chance to really personalize your ride.

You have hundreds of different styles and options to choose from. If your truck has a lot of chrome accents then you’ll definitely want to continue that style to the steps. For sportier packages weΒ recommendΒ aΒ gloss blackΒ orΒ textured blackΒ finish.

Badges & Emblems $10-$500

You have a lot of creative freedom when it comes to your Ford emblems. There are sportyΒ blackout badgesΒ as well as cool two-tone accent badges, like we used onΒ this crimson blackout packageΒ .

If you’re a bit crafty you can save some cash by modifying your factory emblems. We’veΒ wrapped a F150 grille emblemΒ instead of replacing it. We’ve also painted nameplates in custom colors to match wheels or other accessories.

Don’t forget the side nameplates either. OurΒ F-150 XLT Emblem KitΒ comes with the tailgate and side emblems.

Conclusion

These are the best modifications to start with because they are quick, affordable, and effective. The sky is the limit when it comes to personalizing your new Ford F-150, but you have to start somewhere.
