With a large and powerful presence the Yukon Denali cuts out its own space on the road. For those who want a darker and more stern appearance, blackout styling can further enhance the vehicles characteristics. This build features a unique protective finish, bold blackout accents, and classic tinted windows. We’ve been blacking out hundreds of Yukon’s over the years and we’ve even developed a premium chrome delete kit to help others customize their rides.
Chrome Delete Trim
Models get updated from time to time with cosmetic or performance enhancements. The 2025 Yukon has a newly designed front end that looks more streamlined and modern including a new grille. First up in our chrome delete process is installing a blackout 2025 Yukon grille that eliminates a majority of chrome on the front fascia. Unlike the Vader chrome grille that comes on the Ultimate trim level this custom grille is all black.

The redesign of the front fascia also comes with changes to the headlights & fog lights which calls for a new blackout fog bezel molding. This piece is now installed just above the front bumper trim.
Of course the 2025 Yukon’s new appearance also impacts smaller accents. We continued our chrome delete with a new set of smoked side markers right beside the front wheels. side markers are normally bright orange, but by applying a light tinted clear coat can dull the color to better match the blackout styling.

On the the lower side of the Yukon you can find the body side moldings. This part can be color matched or swapped for a blackout accent depending on the style you prefer. Other blackout parts on the side can be found on the fender vent accents, door handles, and roof rails. However, one of the most vital blackout parts for the Yukon Denali is the window molding. Black window moldings make a huge difference when paired with tinted windows.
To erase the last bit of chrome on the trunk we replaced the rear bumper trim and exhaust tips. The exhaust tips are completely optional, but they do help to complete the styling. Plus a durable black powder coat finish keeps them well protected!

Blackout Emblems and Badges
After all the blackout trim was installed we topped off the look with black GMC emblems and badging. When factory emblems are customized the vehicle becomes more of your own rather than the manufacturers. Every emblem and nameplate badge was replaced with a blackout version to enhance the Yukon’s new styling.
Matte Paint Protection Film
When this client brought their Yukon into our shop it already had that classy matte finish. This was because it is covered in a specialty paint protection film or PPF. This film protects the vehicle preventing scrapes and chips while altering the look of the gloss finish. You can choose to also get a clear gloss PPF which doesn’t create that textured matte or satin look. Either way PPF is a good investment especially for more expensive vehicles.
Powder Coated Wheels
Those factory wheels aren’t safe from getting covered there chrome wiped out either. To match the rest of this build we either had to find a nice custom set or apply a powder coat finish to the current wheel design. Our client chose to apply a satin black powder coat finish because of its added benefits.

Using a powder coat finish will often be cheaper than custom wheels and it increases their durability. Plus, powder coating gives you a ton of color options with a safer environmental impact compared to paint.
Window Tint
Finishing up with this blackout 2025 Yukon Denali we applied a classic window tint. Tinted windows not only look great with blackout trim, but they also have the major benefits! With tinted windows you get more privacy and protection. Both premium and ceramic window tints reject solar energy in the form of UV rays. This keeps your interior cooler during hot summer months and protect plastics in the dash from sun fading over time. As you can imagine any reduction of heat is very important for all black vehicles!
Window tint always delivers a solid appearance boost to any model of vehicle, but it’s important to know that not all tint is made equal. We use 3M tint because of their benefits over competing brands. You can learn why in this article about the benefits of 3M tint before making your decision.
Tinted films are offered from 5% to 70% with the lower numbers being darker. Most folks opt for around a 35% tint. The % measures VLT (Visual Light Transference) which quantifies how much light comes through the film. When you go to select your tint, you need to keep in mind your local laws, so that you don’t get ticketed (you can also get a medical exemption).
We always recommend a professional install for this modification. Poor tint jobs will bubble and discolor over time. Make sure your window tint installer has a good warranty to protect your investment!
