6 Inch Lift
We went tall on this build, 6 inches tall to be exact. This is as big as most people want to go, but there are larger sizes available. We used a suspension lift kit from Rough Country. They are our go-to manufacturer for Ford lift kits.
We always recommend talking with one of our accessory experts before making a lift decision. Finding the right lift for your vehicle isn’t always an easy process. You can start a custom quote with us to start the conversation.
Wheel & Tires
We used all that extra space to wrap the wheels in massive 35 inch Toyo tires. We chose the Open Country A/T II tires (35/12.50R20) for their quiet ride and aggressive tread design.
These surround 20-inch Fuel Offroad Vector wheels in the anthracite finish. These are also available in matte black or bronze if you prefer. We used the matte black finish on our recent F150 blackout package .
No matter what finish you choose, this classy wheel design looks good on a lot of different rigs. Our showroom is a great resource to get wheel ideas for your own build.
Interior Comfort
We replaced the cloth seats with a customized factory match leather kit from Katzkin. We used black leather but added a silver contrast stitch to add a touch of style to the interior.
We increased the interior cargo space of this truck by adding an UnderCover Ultra Flex bed cover. This is our go-to tonneau cover because of its durability and flexibility. You get the security and strength of a hard tonneau while maintaining full bed access. You can also use the UnderCover Flex , but we recommend the Ultra Flex for its extra features.
Exterior Appearance
The stand-out appearance accessory on this build is definitely the hood wrap. We wrapped the truck’s hood in automotive-grade black vinyl. We used Avery Supreme wrapping film in matte black for a bold appearance that will last.
We swapped the side nameplates and Ford emblems with black replacements. We also tinted the front driver and passenger window to match the factory tint in the rear.
It’s common for new vehicles to lack uniform tint coverage. Automakers do this since they don’t know where the vehicle will be sold, so they abide by the strictest state laws. If you only need the application on a couple windows the cost is minimal, so it’s always an easy add.
Possible Additions
The hood wrap could be continued down the cab of the truck as a partial or extended roof wrap . This would make the wrap even more impactful and would definitely amp up the visuals.
We stuck to the Ford factory steps, but it would be an easy move to replace these with an aftermarket set. A wheel to wheel drop step like these from N-Fab would fit the look of this build. We’ve used these steps on several other builds, like our popular Air Design Blackout F150 .
