Sedans are boring from the factory, there I said it. But what if they don’t have to be? The Mazda3 Sedan is one of the few aggressive styled sedans from the factory, and we wanted to enhance that styling with a blackout package. From the roof wrap to the painted calipers, this Mazda3 has everything to make this sedan stand out in the streets!

3M High Impact Paint Protection
One of the most annoying parts about owning a car is the amount of wear and tear the exterior will experience. 3M recognized this issue and created their paint protection film (also known as a clear bra) which protects your vehicle’s paint from the elements. It also comes backed by a 10-year warranty (longer than most people own their cars)!
We added a high impact paint protection package to this Mazda3 to help prevent the Soul Red Crystal Metallic paint from road rash. Our high impact package covers the front bumper, part of the hood, part of the fenders, and mirror.
We offer everything from front bumper protection to a complete paint protection wrap on your vehicle. There are also different finish options if you want to give your ride a unique exterior look.
3M FX Premium Tint
To kick off the blackout factor we opted for some 3M FX Premium window tint. We only trust 3M for our window tint needs because of their 50+ years of experience (plus their lifetime warranty isn’t too bad either).
Not only does tint look great, but it has a functional purpose that is often overlooked. Some additional benefits beyond the aesthetic of window tint are heat reduction, glare reduction, UV protection, and increased privacy!
Blackout Emblems / Badges
This 2021 Mazda3 comes from the factory with chrome emblems and badges. To give this Mazda3 a nearly total blackout look, we replaced the chrome emblems with some gloss black ones where we could.
We left the front emblem alone to prevent any interference with sensors mounted behind the badge. To give a blackout effect you could opt for some tint over top of the front badge. We don’t like to make modifications that may compromise safety features, but what you do is up to you.
Roof Wrap
Moving to the top of this Mazda3 and you’ll notice the roof wrap in a gloss black vinyl to match the rest of our blackout details. Roof wraps are a relatively inexpensive and easy way to transform the look of your ride. Paired with the additional gloss black accents and you’ve got one spicy tamale.
Roof wraps have more to offer than just looks though. They also protect the paint underneath from harsh UV rays, and road debris. Roof wraps can be an extremely rewarding DIY upgrade but it’s important that installation is done the right way.
When installed properly, vinyl wraps can last up to 10 years. When installed improperly, expect a lot less than 10 years. If you’re local to St. Louis or the surrounding areas get in touch with us and we can answer any vinyl related questions)!
Vinyl Chrome Delete
To finish off the blackout appearance of this Mazda3 we went ahead and wrapped all the chrome window trim in the same gloss black vinyl as the roof. In addition to the roof, we also slapped some vinyl over the mirrors and spoiler to complement all of our other blackout accessories.
Vinyl wrapping is a great way to get your car looking the way you want it, with the peace of mind that it is completely reversible. When done properly, most people can’t even tell a difference between paint and vinyl wraps!
Chrome Delete
Some parts aren’t exactly wrap friendly like the grille, exhaust tips, and brake calipers. For these we called in help from our paint department. The grille received a coat of gloss black paint to match our vinyl wrap chrome delete.
Looking towards the bottom of this Mazda3 and you’ll notice the black wheels. These came from the factory in this color option, so we looked to the brake calipers for some additional spice factor. We painted the calipers of this Mazda3 in a heat resistant paint, color matched to the body color. The results speak for themselves!
Finally, we powder coated the exhaust tips in, you guessed it, good ole gloss black, to complete the #chromekiller look of this 2021 Mazda3 sedan. The exhaust tips are often overlooked when completing a chrome delete, but we wanted to make sure we hit it all!
Potential Add-Ons
A lot has already been done to the exterior of this Mazda3 sedan, but there’s always room for improvement! Some vinyl graphics to the side, hood, or wherever really, could be a nice addition to make this Mazda3 stand out even more. If that’s not your style though, a roof rack could help increase cargo capacity and cool factor!
