Elevating the big and bold presence of the 2025 GMC Yukon Denali is simpler than you might think. For decades we’ve been helping clients build custom GMC Yukon’s with our premium blackout package. By installing a gloss black trim to replace the tired classic chrome a whole new look is created. We’re excited to start working on a blackout parts kit for the newly revamped 2025 Yukons!
Chrome Delete
The 2025 Yukon comes with a few cosmetic updates to the front fascia including a new grille. We offer a custom 2025 Yukon blackout grille that replaces a huge chunk of chrome. This all black grille has a darker appearance than the Vader Chrome grilles GMC puts on their higher trim levels.
Other areas of the redesign impact the headlight & fog light design. This requires an updated blackout fog bezel molding which is installed just above the front bumper trim.
As you move away from the front fascia down the sides you’ll find smaller accents that got the chrome delete treatment. Starting with a set of smoked side markers by the front wheels. These are normally bright orange, but by applying a light tinted clear coat the color can be dulled to fit the blackout styling.
Not far from the side markers lies the body side molding which can be color matched or swapped for a blackout accent. Moving upwards you’ll find blackout parts swapped for the fender vent accents, door handles, and roof rails. In addition, blacking out the Yukon’s window molding makes a big difference when paired with tinted windows.
At the trunk the last bit of chrome to be eliminated is on the rear bumper trim and exhaust tips. The exhaust tips are completely optional of course. Although a durable black powder coat finish keeps them well protected and improves the chrome delete styling.
Blackout Emblems and Badges
Once all the chrome trim was eliminated we finished things off with black GMC emblems and badging. By customizing the original factory emblems, you make the car more of your own rather than the manufacturers. Each of these emblems and nameplate badges were replaced with blackout versions that complement the Yukon’s new appearance.
Window Tint
The last accessory upgrade this 2025 Yukon Denali got was a classic window tint. Tinted windows not only look great with blackout trim, but they also have the major benefits of privacy and protection. Both premium and ceramic window tints reject solar energy in the form of UV rays. In fact, tint is recommended by the skin cancer foundation. This helps keep your interior cooler during hot summer months and protect plastics in the dash from sun fading over time. As you can imagine any reduction of heat is very important for blackout vehicles!
Tint offers a solid appearance upgrade for any make and model of vehicle, but it’s important to know that not all tint is made equal. We only use 3M tint because of their benefits over competing brands. We wrote a whole article about the benefits of 3M tint to help you learn more before making your decision.
Tints are offered from 5% to 70% with the lower numbers being darker. Most folks opt for around a 30% tint. The % measures VLT (Visual Light Transference) which quantifies how much light comes through the film. When you go to select your tint, you need to keep in mind your local laws, so that you don’t get ticketed. We always recommend a professional install for this modification. Poor tint jobs will bubble and discolor over time. Make sure your window tint installer has a good warranty to protect your investment!
