This RAM Big Horn in Bright White came equipped with the Sport Appearance Package. This adds body color bumpers, grille surround, door handles, and mirrors. It costs less than the Night Edition and gives an excellent starting point for a sporty custom build. Check out our previous build for this package on a Night Edition RAM 1500.

Interior
We wanted the inside to be just as gorgeous as the outside, so we overhauled the interior. We started by tinting the windows with Suntek window film. Then we said out with the factory cloth and in to premium Katzkin leather. We chose a black leather with white contrast stitch and diamond inserts.
If you did this from the factory, the walk for leather from the Big Horn to Laramie is about $4,500. Choosing aftermarket leather lets you get the interior luxury of a Laramie at a fraction of the cost of that trim.
Katzkin also offers a huge menu of design options you can tweak when picking your leather. It’s one of the many reasons we love upgrading factory cloth.
Exterior
It’s safe to say the Blackhorse Armor Roll bar is the focal piece of the exterior. The 4 inch diameter steel tubing is super strong and powder coated in black. We changed the side panel logo to white to match the bright exterior.
The top of the roll bar contains a light plate that accommodates up to a 50-inch light bar. We used a 20-inch SL8 LED light bar and two 3-inch cube lights to fill this area. The bar frames the bed, which we treated to a spray-in bedliner.
We used MOPAR fender flares but painted them to match the exterior color. The glossy clear coat on top of the textured flare is a unique look that we really like.
Rough Country HD2 running boards line the side of this RAM. They are wider and more aggressive than the MOPAR factory boards and provide a larger step area. We love these steps, but if you have a configuration other than quad cab you won’t be able to use them
Wheels & Tires
We wanted to make a big statement with this RAM, so we used 37-Inch TOYO Open Country R/T tires. These rough terrain tires are built for any trail and pack some aggressive looks. To run these we needed to raise up the truck with a 6-inch lift kit from Rough Country.
This Big Horn Sport sits on 20-Inch Level 8 Slam wheels in matte black. These wheels have a chiseled 7-spoke design and a beadlock lip.
Possible Additions
Since this was a Sport package the emblems and nameplates on this RAM are still chrome. If you want a chrome delete look you’ll need to do some additional work to this one. If you don’t mind a little bling than I wouldn’t touch a thing on this RAM.
