VIP Distributing invites our customers, vendors, and employees to participate in our month-long donation drive for the Animal Protective Association (APA) of Missouri. They care for more than 10,000 pets a year through adoption, wellness, and community outreach programs.
We wanted to help St. Louis pets, but we chose the APA for a very specific reason. Right across the railroad tracks from our facility sits the Saint Louis County Pet Adoption Center. Last month St. Louis County awarded the contract to take over operation of this shelter to the APA. This decision came after a 2019 audit of the County shelter revealed poor living conditions and misrepresented euthanasia cases.
We have a lot of loving pet owners here at VIP, and we wanted to pitch in to help out our soon-to-be neighbors. Conditions have improved since 2019, but things will get even better for the animals as the APA takes over operation of the facility.
How to Give
We will be collecting cash donations, as well as animal care products, cleaning supplies, dog toys, and other supplies on-site in our St. Louis showroom. Visit the APA wish list for ideas on what to donate.
We’re also accepting monetary donations online from customers around the country via our website. We’ll be sending all who donate a special yin yang pet decal as a thank you.
All pet goods and supplies will be donated to the APA of Missouri, and the net proceeds from all yin yang decal sales will be donated to them as well.
