This client asked for a lift with some big 35-inch tires, so we set out to make their 2023 GMC Yukon Denali the biggest SUV on the road. After we hooked up the performance enhancements this custom Yukon Denali got the chrome delete treatment for a touch more style. Get a more detailed look at the accessories down below!

3-Inch Lift Kit
To boost this build we installed a 3-inch Smart Suspension Technology (SST) Lift Kit from ReadyLIFT. It’s the perfect lift kit for installing a larger tire and wheel set-up without sacrificing the smooth factory ride and handling.
Fender Liner Pullback Kit
To accommodate larger tires we also installed a Front Fender Liner Pullback Kit from Westcott Designs. This part allows you to attach 35″ tires with minimal trimming.
Custom Fuel Wheels
Kicking off the new wheel and tire set-up is a set of 20×9 Fuel Flame rims. These satin black wheels have a flowing metal design that looks like a flickering fire. Wheels like these add some flare to the Yukon without being to over the top.
If buying custom wheels doesn’t fit your budget another option is to apply a powder coat finish to your current wheel design. Powder coat finishes are a simple way to customize the color of your wheels and enhance their durability. This coating can also be used on parts like tow-hooks or exhaust tips to further personalize your vehicle!
35-Inch Offroad Tires
When the new wheels were installed we knew that it was time to trade up the old tires. These new 35/12.5R20 Toyo Open Country AT 3 tires provide a powerful look that delivers better traction to take on offroad routes.
Mudflaps
With the traction enhancement from new tires we needed these mudflaps from DuraGuard to protect the paint job. Mudflaps keep all sorts of rocks and grime from getting flung on to the body of the vehicle.
Black Painted Calipers
A small addition tucked behind the wheels is a set of black painted brake calipers. This mod helps to prevent corrosion while adding to the rides chrome delete styling. You can paint your calipers in a variety of colors to style your ride, but most commonly we see them painted red.
Chrome Delete Trim Kit
Once all the new accessories were installed on this lifted Yukon we decided to give it the chrome delete treatment. By removing the massive chunk of chrome on the front end and attaching an all-new blackout grille we kick off the process.
Besides the grille the front bumper trim, fog light bezel, and mirror accents were all replaced as well. With every piece of chrome on the front blacked out the build started to take on a whole new aesthetic.
Next we swapped out the fender vent accents and smoked the orange side markers. Smoking the side markers is a process of applying a permanent tinted clear coat that darkens them.
Some parts of the chrome trim can be more difficult to change. The roof rails require dropping the headliner to pull them off. While areas such as the window trim are thin and delicate, so they require more finesse. Below the windows are the door handles and lower body molds below the doors. The skilled technicians at VIP Auto Accessories take care of every part with ease since they’ve done 100’s of blackouts over the years.
At the tailgate we wrap up the blackout trim by installing the new rear bumper trim, and rear hatch valance. After those final pieces come together there’s one last modification to the branding to take care of.
Blackout GMC Yukon Emblems
Giving this lifted 2023 Yukon Denali custom GMC emblems creates that true custom feel. The grille features that bold black and white GMC emblem, but the rear emblem is fully black along with the trim badges. Chrome delete GMC emblems help to finalize the blackout trim styling.
American Flag Graphics
Additions such as vinyl window graphics can be used to add an element of personal style. For this lifted Yukon Denali build our client wanted a pair of American flag quarter glass window graphics.
Infotainment Screen Protector
On the interior dash, infotainment screen protectors are a big plus to prevent scratches, dents, and spills from harming the display. There are plenty of other GMC Yukon accessories and upgrades to look out for too.
Window Tint
Classic window tint was a must have for this build. 3M window tint film creates an awesome look for the vehicle while also providing solar energy rejection. This helps keep your interior cooler during hot summer months and protect plastics in the dash from sun fading over time.
Tints are offered from 5% to 70% with the lower numbers being darker. The % measures VLT (Visual Light Transference) which quantifies how much light comes through the film. When you go to select your tint, you need to keep in mind your local laws, so that you don’t get ticketed. We always recommend a professional install for this modification. Poor tint jobs will bubble and discolor over time. Make sure your window tint installer has a good warranty to protect your investment!
Ceramic Coating
Polishing things off we applied a ceramic coating to this custom Yukon. Our Ceramic Solutions formula forms a chemical bond with factory paint or vinyl that helps to resist dirt, grime, and chemical damage to the paint. The best thing about a ceramic coating is you just wash your car as normal! Having a Ceramic Solutions coating allows you to spend less effort cleaning your ride.
