We built out two special neighborhood watch units out of 2024 Ford Broncos for The Cities Finest security. They wanted to add a few offroad accessories, custom graphics, and emergency LED lighting. When approached with this exciting project we had to jump on it. Keep reading to checkout the accessory details!
Vinyl Graphics
To get this Bronco looking the part we designed a partial vinyl wrap with bold yellow neighborhood watchman lettering. The text fills the sides and high-tech urban graphics cover other parts of the Bronco as seen in the before and after images. The yellow pops against the black background and really stands out.
On the hood there is more abstract urban striping that matches the rear. Next to those abstract graphics you can find The Cities Finest crest on the fenders. This helps to expand on their company branding.
Throughout the graphics there are TCF-19 codes to identify the unit number. The color scheme has a good high visibility yellow and is easily identifiable as a security vehicle.
LED Emergency Lighting
Lighting on this build is a bit different from other off-roaders we’ve put together. Our expert 12v technicians installed emergency LED lighting from Whelen with multiple variations. Every attached piece of lighting is connected to the control panel by the rearview mirror. On the grille we have ION Super LED Duo amber lights and on the roof there is a Cenator amber lightbar.
At the tailgate there is a Whelen Upper Rear Window Dominator LED light bar. All these LED lights are programmable to blink in different intervals with bright white and amber illumination.
Gritty Offroad Wheels and Tires
Now comes the offroad accessories for a bit of added style and performance. The factory wheels are replaced with Black Rhino Armory rims for a tough riveted look. Wrapped around the rims are a set of Good Year Wrangler tires that provide gritty offroad control.
2-Inch Lift Kit
For added emphasis the Broncos each have a 2-inch lift kit from Rough Country. Installing a smaller lift kit like this raises ground clearance and provides extra room for mobility. The boosted ride height gives a dominant road presence and more offroad freedom.
Tinted Windows
Since this Bronco was nearly done, we decided to add a window tint. Often times window tint gets a bed reputation but applying a tinted film to your windows has loads of benefits. The tinted film can protect your interior, your valuables, and most importantly you from the sun’s rays. Of course, having darker windows can also provide privacy and give the vehicle a more serious tone. Tinted windows tend to look really good with the black hardtops and soft tops that that the Broncos have.
In our shop we use a high-quality 3M Premium FX tint film that comes in a 5%, 20%, and 35% VLT (visual light transference). The lower percent of VLT the darker the film.
When you go to select your tint, don’t forget to keep in mind your local laws so that you don’t get ticketed. We always recommend a professional install for this modification. Poor tint jobs will bubble and discolor over time which then ends up looking pretty awful. Make sure your window tint installer has a good warranty to protect your hard-earned money!
