Wheels and Tires
It’s hard to describe this JL build without first mentioning what it’s rolling on. Below a 2-inch lift, we have huge 18-inch Fuel Offroad Trophy wheels wrapped in massive 37-inch tires. The 37/12.5/18 Toyo Open Country R/T tires are powerful 4×4 tools that offer excellent off-road traction with aggressive style. As good as these are off-road, the true beauty is the quiet ride they maintain on-road.
The Fuel Trophy One Piece Wheel is one of our favorites. The cast aluminum has a matte anthracite finish with a black beadlock style ring. The sheer size and weight of this wheel and tire combo required upgrading the iconic rear tire carrier. We used the MOPAR® Carrier Kit and Hinge Reinforcement to accommodate the aftermarket wheel.
Steps, Lights, and Bumpers
To help you climb into this beast we used N-FAB Nerf Bars. The 3-inch main tubing and drop-down step design is engineered specifically with lifted vehicles in mind. They fit high and tight to the vehicle body for a clean look.
The front and rear bumpers are from Addictive Desert Designs. This Arizona-based manufacturer has been in operation for over a decade and has a pedigree for being first to market with their innovative designs. The front and rear bumpers are from their Stealth Fighter series. They keep a relatively low profile while maintaining an aggressive style.
Inside the front bumper is a 20-inch DV8 LED light bar with a Smittybilt XRC Winch mounted on top. In the rear Stealth Fighter bumper are two RIGID D-Series PRO cube lights for increased nighttime vision. On the hood a 30-inch CREE LED Light Bar from Rough Country crowns the build.
One of the perks of the new JL Wrangler design is the factory auxiliary buttons built into the dash. They allow aftermarket lights like this to be controlled with OEM switches that match the vehicle’s factory styling.
Conclusion
When it is all said and done, this package is a major investment in your Jeep, but it’s something that many Jeep owners are willing to make. The Wrangler has the reputation of a resale value standout. The 2018 Jeep Wrangler ranks #4 in resale value according to Kelly Blue Book. So don’t be shy, make your Jeep YOURS and add what you want.
