Ford committed to producing only 7,000 of these unique First Edition packages. This one is extra special because it’s the gem of Jason Catlin of The GSM’s Pride. He runs a Ford dealership in Missouri and isn’t afraid to trick out his ride. We had the pleasure of adding to the customization he started, and it all starts in the front.

Front End
We modified the 1st Edition front end to add some custom styling. We painted the outer trim ring to match the Lighting Blue body color, and changed the glossy finish of the grille to be matte instead.
We utilized our standard Bronco nameplate overlays to change the face of the letters to matte black as well, but made a custom “R” in blue for some extra pop.
Lighting
Down in the front bumper we packed in some major lumens. We used the Fog Pocket Kit from Baja Designs. This kit utilizes three sets of LED clusters focusing on three different spots on the road. One set for driving, a set for spot lighting, and one set for wide cornering (amber). Installation doesn’t involve any drilling or cutting into your Bronco, so it’s a favorite for new owners.
Up top we mounted a pair of Squadron Pro Driving/Combo ditch lights. They are packing 4,600 lumens per cube and will blind you with brightness if you stare.
We also lit up the ground with a set of rock lights from Rugged Ridge. These waterproof LED lights illuminate the trails and gives an impressive look even when off the trails.
The combination of these three lighting setups offer more than enough visibility for any offroad hijinks.
Wheels & Tires
The First Edition is rocking some nice kicks from the factory, but it’s a Bronco–why not personalize it? We used 17-inch Method 305 NV wheels in bronze with a matte black lip. 35-inch BF Goodrich Baja Champions surround these bronze beauties and stand ready to conquer any terrain. It’s hard to go wrong with this historic brand, and the reversible design lets you choose if you want painted white lettering on the sidewalls.
Tucked behind these big boys are painted brake calipers. We used Lighting Blue to match the body color and provide an accent in an unexpected spot.
Exterior
You can probably tell this isn’t your standard Lighting Blue color. The exterior is wrapped in XPEL Stealth Satin paint protection film.
After the film was applied the exterior was treated with a ceramic coating. This protects the vehicle’s finish and makes cleaning much easier.
The satin finish cools the blue color and makes all the none-satin additions really pop. One of those additions is the retro Bronco script badging on the side. These adhesive backed emblems are a breeze to install and are better looking than the fridge magnets Ford is sticking on all their new Broncos. This one was matte black, but they are also in available in silver and gloss black options.
One of the new Bronco’s surprising features is only a single mention of Ford on the rear. We took this lonely badge and gave it a lightning blue and matte black makeover in the paint booth.
