We have compiled the top 5 accessory upgrades for the new 2020 Toyota RAV4. Whether you have the base XLE or the luxury Limited, there’s something on this list for everyone.
Powder Coat Wheels
All models besides the LE are equipped with factory alloy wheels. For an affordable custom look we recommend powder coating your wheels. It’s a very cost-effective alternative to getting a whole new set of wheels if you’re happy with the design and size of your current alloys.
We offer powder coating in nearly any other color you can think of, but our gloss black and matte black finishes are most popular. Either of these colors is a great starting point if you’re looking to create a blacked out look.
If you have the LE model equipped with steel wheels you’ll need to consider upgrading to a new alloy wheel or using overlays.
Vinyl Roof Wrap
The two tone paint scheme is only available on select RAV4 models and is hard to come by. Luckily it’s easy to replicate this look with a vinyl roof wrap .
We use a premium wrapping film that promises up to 10 years of durability. It gives the same appearance as paint but gives you the ability to remove it or easily change colors in the future.
We commonly wrap roofs in matte black and gloss black, but we can do nearly any other color too. Some materials even come in unique finishes, such as metallic, textured, diamond, pearl, and chrome.
Blind-Spot Warning
Blind spot monitoring is an increasingly standard safety feature, but even in 2019 it’s not standard for the LE trim level. Make sure your RAV4 is safe by getting a blind spot detection system installed.
These systems monitor your blind spots for you as you drive. It’s like having a second pair of eyes, and it alerts you when a vehicle enters your blind spot.
Our kit also includes a cross traffic detection alert, to prevent accidents when you’re backing out of a busy parking lot.
Leather Seats
Leather is not available from Toyota for the RAV4 LE and XLE models. The XLE Premium is the lowest trim level to offer leather for the 2019 model year. The jump to that from the LE is $4,000. If leather is important to you don’t go without it, but don’t overpay either!
Third-party manufacturers like Katzkin Leather produce high quality leather kits for far less than four grand. Not only will your cloth be replaced with leather, but you can also design it yourself . If you don’t fancy making your own, Katzkin also offers several premade custom designs that already fit the look of your vehicle.
No matter what design you choose, these are full seat coverings, not seat covers. The cloth upholstery is removed from the factory seat and it is replaced with Katzkin leather. Make sure you find a preferred Katzkin installer (like us!) for a professional installation.
Receiver Hitch
Adding a receiver hitch means you can attach a bike carrier or pull a small trailer with your RAV4. The Adventure AWD model offers a maximum towing capacity of up to 3,500 lbs. The other models feature 1,500 lbs of towing capacity.
Receivers hitches come in either 1.25 or 2 inch variants, so make sure you select the size that matches the carrier or hitch ball you intend to use. If you’re unsure, it’s always better to go bigger. There are adapters to make 1.25 inch carriers fit in a 2 inch receiver, but not the other way around.
