Check Out That Matte Black Wrap!

Vinyl wraps are the quickest way to change the look of your ride. They can be used to get the exact color you want whether it’s a custom color-flip paint look, high-gloss shine, or unique finishes. This custom Porsche 911 is sporting 3M Dead Matte Black vinyl film which creates a cool almost textured finished.

Wraps can be used to cover the entire vehicle or specific sections like the hood, roof, or trunk. People will sometimes choose to create a two-tone look by splitting the cars color scheme in half. This is popular on muscle cars like this Dodge Challenger and SUVs like this Cadillac Escalade.

Applying a Ceramic Coating

Since we installed a special matte finish we wanted to keep it protected from scratches by using a ceramic coating. Once a ceramic coating it has a important property increases surface hardness. Therefore the wrap becomes more resistant to scratching and scuffing from road debris or any accidental scrapes. It provides more peace of mind.

When the ceramic coating binds to the surface of the vinyl it also creates a protective barrier that fills in microscopic nooks and crannies. This is what makes the car repel dirt, grime, and water for easier washes.

Tinting The Windows

Of course when you have a smooth Matte black ride like this it could us a touch of window tint. You might be surprised, but window tint is actually recommended by the skin cancer foundation. Not only does it protect your interior from harmful UV rays, but it also rejects solar energy to keep your ride cooler. This is especially important for all black cars like the Matte black Porsche 911.

Window tint is measured by % of VLT or visual light transference. The lower the VLT percentage the darker the tint. We highly recommend going to a local shop who knows your local tinting laws and will warranty their install to protect from bubbling in the film.
