Blackout Emblems and Nameplates
First things first those brass and chrome Chevrolet emblems need a touch of darkness. The iconic Chevy bowtie on the grille is swapped out with a complete blackout version right from GM. Installing blackout emblems is a great way to change the look of your ride without putting a big dent in your wallet. The chevy emblem on the back requires swapping out the rear hatch valance to delete all the chrome there.
Blackout Tahoe nameplates and High Country badging were the next pieces of our chrome delete. Smaller chrome accents like these got to go if you want that sleek blackout styling.
Chrome Delete Trim
You can chrome delete your Chevy Tahoe with a vinyl wrap, professional painting, or by using Tahoe blackout parts. Instead of using a temporary wrap on the tricky parts like window trim we replaced it with a blackout window molding. This will last much longer and provide a higher quality appearance.
We also used replacement parts from our Tahoe blackout kit to substitute the front bumper and rear bumper trim pieces. The Chevy Tahoe blackout grille is what makes the biggest differences though. It’s also offered in an emblem delete version that creates a smooth unmarked look to the front end.
The roof rails on this custom Tahoe used to have chrome finish. If we didn’t have the blackout replacement parts for them, we would have powder coated or painted them.
Smaller features like the door handles and exhaust tips were exchanged for blackout versions. Along with all that chrome delete trim is a pair of tinted side markers. All black trim features gives this Chevy Tahoe build a whole new demeanor.
Black Powder Coated Wheels
To match the energy of the black trim, we had to alter those plain old chrome wheels. To give the factory wheels an upgrade we applied a gloss black powder coat finish. The wheels are one of the most noticeable parts on a vehicle, and they play a huge role in its appearance. Powder coating is a great way to customize them without shelling out on a custom design.
Some of our clients also choose to pair painted brake calipers with their powder coated wheels. Painting the calipers is a affordable modification that ads a personalized pop of color to accent your build.
Window Tint Film
Capping off the blackout appearance we added a classic window tint to the front windows. Rear windows often come with 20% tint, so we wanted to even it out. Having your windows tinted provides relief from sunlight and heat. Tint will help with privacy, sun glare, and skin protection form UV rays!
Ceramic Coating
Our last add on was to protect this Tahoe, we added some of our Ceramic Solutions to guard the paint. Ceramic coatings bind to your paint to repelling road grime and other contaminants that could harm the value of your car over time.
