Andobil creates some quality phone mounts for a variety of uses. Today we take a look at one of their universal car phone mounts, specifically the Andobil Long Arm car phone mount. It’s designed to fit on any dashboard or windshield. Although, we do recommend checking local laws before attaching anything to your windshield as it’s not allowed in about 28 states. Make sure to read the rest of the blog and check out this video review for the unboxing and install!
Each piece of the Long Arm phone mount is well designed providing protection and flexibility. The bendable arm is made with a solid aluminum core that’s quite strong! The downfall to this long arm design is that it can shake a little, but that’s why this phone mount comes with a small stabilizer. If you have a spot to use the stabilizer it does reduce the shake.
The long bendable arm is really what sets this phone mount apart in our opinion. It’s installed here on a Mazda CX-3 which it works nice with because it moves around the infotainment screen in the dashboard. The adaptability of this car phone mount is ideal for models that have tight dashboard designs such as many of the Mazda, Kia, or Honda makes. It also works well for deep truck dashboards since the arm is 13-inches long and can reach far back if needed.
Apart from the arm there is a ball and socket fitting behind the mount, and a 360-degree locking base which both allow for even more adjustment.
The Mount’s sturdy retractable sides have a nice locking design which keeps your phone very secure, and a quick disconnect button for when you need it back. The sides of the mount have bits of cushioning on the angled grips to protect the edge of your phone. We tried harshly shaking the mount and it tightly held the phone in place which was a big positive note.
The backing on the 360-degree locking base and stabilizer is a genuine 3M branded adhesive, so it’s strong and resistant to temperature change. This is exactly what you want for a vehicle, but it also means it will be more difficult to remove someday down the road.
As long as you’re okay with using an adhesive phone mount this is a good option to consider for your vehicle.
