The Escape S and SE are competent versions of the all-new 2020 redesign, but they are missing a few frills. We have done the research for you, and compiled the top 5 accessory to consider when buying these introductory models.
Leather Seats
The 2020 Escape S and Escape SE only come with cloth seats. If you want leather seats don’t worry, you don’t have to settle. Katzkin Leather offers OEM quality leather seats that match the Escape’s interior for far less money than upgrading to the Titanium.
Not only can you replace your cloth with leather, but you can also custom design it to match your own style. If you’re unsure of what you want, Katzkin also offers several premade designs that match the look of your vehicle.
No matter what design you choose, these are full seat coverings, not seat covers. The factory cloth is removed and the seat is reupholstered with Katzkin leather.
Receiver Hitch
Only SEL and Titanium models equipped with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine have a factory tow package available. Adding an aftermarket receiver hitch to your Escape lets you attach a bike carrier, or tow a small trailer with ease.
Receivers come in either 1.25 or 2 inch variants, so make sure you select the size that matches the carrier or hitch ball you intend to use.
Remote Start
Remote start is an optional upgrade for S and SE models but it’s not available from Ford at launch. Rather than waiting on Ford, you can use an aftermarket remote starter to achieve the same functionality.
Remote start systems are especially useful in the wintertime. You can start your vehicle without going outside into the cold. There’s nothing quite as nice as a warm car on a cold winter morning.
Powder Coated Wheels
2020 Escape SE owners get 17-Inch silver-painted aluminum wheels. These aren’t going to turn any heads on their own, but give them a new color and you’ll start to get some attention.
Your silver SE wheels can be powder coated any color you desire. It’s more affordable than getting a new wheel package , and gives you a very custom look. We recommend the gloss black or matte black finish for a sporty appearance.
Vinyl Roof Wrap
Make SEL and Titanium owners jealous when you go a even farther and add a roof wrap to your Escape. There are no two-tone color options available for the 2020 Escape on any trim. A vinyl roof wrap is a relatively inexpensive way to give your ride some bold styling.
The strength of vinyl wraps is that they offer the same appearance as paint but give you the ability to remove them or change colors in the future.
We often use matte black and gloss black, but we can do nearly any other color too. Some materials even come in unique finishes, such as metallic, textured, diamond, pearl, and chrome.
