As the the sixth generation of Ford Bronco’s continues to power through another year we’ve seen a lot of special edition trim levels. This got us thinking about the old school Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer Edition. So when this build came our way we made added a few accessories to make a new version of it!
Bronze Door Panel Stripe
The Bronco’s Eddie Bauer Package first was offered in 1985 as a high-end trim level with an accent stripe and more refined interior. Though this build isn’t extremely close we do think its a quick and effective way to get some of the styling. It all starts with the accent stripe on the door panel.

We installed a bronze colored vinyl film to create the stripe on the doors. Taking things a step further the film was also applied to the fenders. Vinyl stripes can come in a wide variety of styles including retro hockey stripes which also look good on Broncos.
Custom Wheels and Offroad Tires
To keep that retro look coming we found a similar wheel and tire setup. The rims we used here are Pro Comp Xtreme Alloys Series 1069 Polished Chrome. They have that shiny and sturdy appearance with uniform rounded pattern between spokes.

Along with the new wheels comes versatile offroad tires. Toyo Open Country AT 3 tires are our go to tires because of their availability and traction without a huge expense to fuel economy. Although, if you’re taking your Bronco off-roading pretty frequently, we suggest something better rated for rugged terrain.
Window Tint
Of course our final accessory add had to be window tint film. 3M window tint protects you, your cargo, and your interior from harsh UV rays. Because of its solar energy rejection your rides interior stays cooler during hot summer months.

It’s important to know that not all tint is made equal. We only use 3M tints because of their benefits over competing brands. We wrote a whole article about the benefits of 3M tint to help you learn more before making your decision.
Tints are offered from 5% to 70% with the lower numbers being darker. The % measures VLT (Visual Light Transference) which quantifies how much light comes through the film. When you go to select your tint, you need to keep in mind your local laws, so that you don’t get ticketed. We always recommend a professional install for this modification. Poor tint jobs will bubble and discolor over time. Make sure your window tint installer has a good warranty to protect your investment!
